I like most everything I've heard from Japan with only a few exceptions. The newer band (to me anyway) that I've been digging alot lately is EL CAMINO 53.

I'm with Ghoul and A Wind of Knives with the old-ish stuff. Old GISM, Deathside, Warhead, Nightmare, Gauze, Lipcream, Outo, Gastunk.
I lean more towards grind, metal and doom with the new stuff though. Corrupted, Mortalized, Boris, Defiled, Vomit Remnants, CSSO, Dot(.), Senseless Apocalypse, Vomit Remnants, Fastkill, Bathtub Shitter, Nervenotfound, Church of Misery and anything by Yamazaki Maso(Masonna, Space Machine, etc..)
I can't count to 10.

Which Kansas LP is it? I found a bunch of them in the used Prog section of a Disk Union one day ranging from 300-500 yen, but they were in pretty bad shape. Fucking Genesis!!!  |

Pfff, really tuff question. To be honest, I don't really know all classic Japanese bands, so I make the OLD list a bit short, with only the ones I know quite well:
SS, GISM, Gai, Confuse, Outo, SOB (only the early stuff)
NEW:
Corrupted, Gore Beyond Necropsy, DxIxE, CSSO, Abraham Cross, Nikudorei, Framtid 7", SDS, AGE +many more I can't think of right now.

All the old stuff i've heard so far has been great esp Outo, Gauze, GISM, Stalin, Aburadako, Systematic Death and Lipcreem.
I like SOB a lot too, not sure of their timeframe.
