Due to Steve's comments I went on a search for Japanese 'sXe' bands. I found one on the Answer records double comp LP. They're called Common Bond, and even thank something like straight edge productions. Ofcourse I don't know if they're really sXe, but they have the whole artwork and image down quite well. And I'm pretty sure there are 'sXe' bands in the metalcore department. I need to go to a friend to look at his Japanese mosh cd's to find out

And I'm pretty sure there are 'sXe' bands in the metalcore department. I need to go to a friend to look at his Japanese mosh cd's to find out No Choice In This Matter are sXe, they play old-school melodic hardcore. Bearing in mind that when I say 'hardcore' I'm talking about stuff like Gorilla Biscuits, Sick Of It All, etc etc etc. Also, Loyal To The Grave might be straight edge? They have a few sXe members, certainly. They play metalcore, in the vein of Throwdown. And one member of Silence Kills The Revolution is sXe, but I don't think any of the other members are.

making sense from chiba is a great youth crew band with influences from In My Eyes and Atari and are SxE but don't claim it at all nor use the imagery.
