What are the new "+3" tracks on the Japanese reissues of Greenmachine's two full lengths? I read the tracklist for D.A.M.N's Jap. reissue and the last three tracks were the same that are on the Man's Ruin version... and the Man's Ruin version says that the last three tracks are exclusive for that release. Does anybody know what the tracklist is for the Jap. reissue of Earth Beater?
I think the mysterious +3 albums are just reissues of the Man's ruin versions... but I need someone to confirm this for me... thanks

I'm wondering about this also. I didn't check the disks at their live show because of the huge crowd of sheep flocked around the tables. When I get back to Japan I fully intend to find out for myself but if anyone else can help clear up this problem in the meantime you'll make me and at least one other person here very happy.

Okay, I checked right quick at the Diwphalanx Records website www.diskunion.co.jp/phalanx/what_new.html and found that the +3 on the new Earth Beater CD are the 3 tracks off of the old Greenmachine/Thug split EP on Bovine Records. It doesn't say anything about what the +3 bonus tracks are on the new D.A.M.N. release. As far as I know the only stuff Greenmachine ever released were the DAMN, EARTHBEATER lp's and that split EP. Maybe that other +3 is some live stuff?? I dunno. www.diskunion.co.jp/phalanx/index.html

recently got an EP on Bovine Records with Thug. 4 bands, it's the cats's fucking pajamas. kicking myself for failing to pull the (700 yen trigger) on another bovine release, the agoraphobic nosebleed/cattlepress lp. nastily OOP too. FUCK.
being the stingy cretin I am, 700 yen is at the limit of my "not-quite-essential-but-would/could/might/ooh/ooh/ooh-fuck-doshiyo" paradigm.

yeah, BOVINE was the shit back in the day. Great releases. Too bad it went under like it did, right when he was going to release a suppression discog cd. Another great Japanese band that had a release on Bovine was Desperate Corruption(split with east coast grind kings Enemy Soil). Awesome Japanese metal band. Raunchy and fast grind with the technical brutality of most death metal bands. I haven't heard shit about this band in a long while. Probably no longer together though. You can actually get a copy of this from Lumbejack. Worth picking up if you're into the faster stuff. Very highly recommended, especially since Bovine releases are getting hard to come by. www.lumberjack-online.com/Merchant2/merchant.mv?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=LDOS&Product_Code=01661&Category_Code=G-SALE

Lumberjack are arseholes, they ripped me off NZ $1,500 (that's fifffffteen HUNnnnnDRED DOLLARINEESss..yes,yes, I rented "The Jerk"... again) worth of records.. purchased for my store in 1999... twas' to be our biggest order..the bulk of the shop stock.. sure, they reimbursed me with a couple of boxes worth a few hundred dollars... NOT GOOD ENOUGH. Their excuse? "Oh, someone stole them before we could send it". FUCK OFF. That's not my problem you COCKS, you're quite happy to keep my fucking money aren't you?
Ah, fuck, now I'm getting annoyed. Ebullition are honest people. "No Idea", even better.

i think the new CD's are infact re-issues of the man's ruins CD's...the extra track were never released in Japan unless you bought the import CD's ..and with Man's ruins going under are essentionally out of print
anyone ever heard of Datsou's (drummer spelling) other bands?? Delta and XYLO???

I've only ordered one item off of Lumberjack in the past(Discordance Axis DVD) and I got to me rather quickly. That sucks that they screwed you for that much money. I can't believe they would make lame excuses like that either. Ebullition is certainly the way to go as far as distros go. Back in the day I used to get ALL my shit from Vacuum Records. They day Timojhen called it quits I about shit myself. No Idea seems good but they only distro No Idea stuff, right? In that case Prank www.prankrecords.com/ , Life is Abuse www.lifeisabuse.com/ and Southern Lord www.southernlord.com/ are other quality labels that put out excellent releases and take good care of their customers. For awesome prices on great death metal stuff be sure to check out Unmatched Brutality www.unmatchedbrutality.com/. Some of the best priced metal anywhere. Great customer service too. And as for those +3 Greenmachine releases, I think Void is right. The new ones just include the extra tracks already included on the Man's Ruin releases. I'm back in Japan now so I'm going to check it out when I can.

Thanks for the links, ashamed to say I didn't order from Vacuum (or Stickfigure)...until the death knell when, like a vulture I swooped in on his cut-price wares.
No Idea have 1,000's of non-label stuff...and they fire in stacks of free posters/stickers/promo cd's (unlike Ebullition).
Used to get all that Prank stuff really cheap wholesale from Mordam...US $4.50 for an LP! Ken Sanderson is THE most honest, organised fellow my shop EVER dealt with. The Lifeisabuse stuff..through "IMD"...yeah..used to be Bottlenekk, ordered stacks from them...Sonny was a top notch bloke to deal with - I don't know WHAT THE FUCK HE'S DOING with the IMD thing Bottlenekk's (d)evolved into...looks..suspicious. In trying to concentrate his focus he appears too have diluted his concentrate...
post script- sorry to be a pretentious wanker and litter this post with dropped names...perhaps because I just watched "High Fidelity" and I WANT MY FUCKING SHOP BACK! (but not all those egomaniacal "relationship" scenario's John Cusack let his precious mewling self get involved with).

After Vacuum went under I started ordering all my stuff from Bottlenekk until Sonny called it quits too! I moved here soon after so I didn't bother shopping around for another distro. I got quite a few items cheap off of the auction Timojhen did on the last of his wares like you did. Some of the best prices(and worst) were off of label auctions. I think I got an Agents of Satan EP for $1 of some forgotten labels final days and the Dystopia/Grief split EP(mint and all extras intact) for $45 from either Weedcore.com or a Chris Dodge auction(I can't remember which). I'm going to have to go and check out what No Idea has to offer. Sounds like a good way to get stuff over here.
When did you own a shop, Kent? Here in Japan or back in the States? That really sucks that it went under. I've mused over the years about opening a small shop around Tokyo but the risks and bullshit involved in starting a business in Japan doesn't seem worth the hassle. I was/am going to do a lable/distro one of these days but I have to work my funds up first and find some decent wholesale sources.

-The magical world of paypal suddenly makes distro plans very workable. Emailing people money that isn't even real money? Just numbers traded... going around in circles?
At the risk of rogering my internet anonymity completely... shop was in New Zealand from 1998-2000. We didn't have ANY normal music. It was always going to go under. From the outset we were only going to do it for one 2-year lease until MiniMe was old enough to start school in Japan. Wife was letting me blow our life savings (horrible expression that, "life savings"..ughh) on my dream job... Hell, it was "under" before it even started...having spent virtually all our money on the initial stock from Mordam records.
Still, I had to get it out of my system..better than dying wondering...
Shop in Japan? ...at the risk of sounding like TonyProminentFuckingMandibleRobbins.. "you need to know your target market" (guhuuhh). I don't know that here in Japan. Plus, even for a closet-sized orifice, rent would be NUTS.
Not sure how small the business has to be but I read that from 2005 the govt will waive the stifling 10 million yen "start-up capital" (technical term) requirement for new businesses. Well, fuck, about time. "Entrepreneurial spirit" is almost as oxyfuckingmoronic as "Kokusaika" in this country. Fuckin' colludin' cartels... stop giving Daiei all the fucking money and give the next generation a crack. Sack 10 million people to make 12 million more opportunities. Unfeasibly easy to have a shop in N.Z. No licence/fees/proof of whatever. Jesus, I didn't even have a bank loan... the student loan is another matter..oh, *cough cough*, is that the time? <<averts gaze and slinks into shadows...>>

NZ, eh??? Sounds like a rough deal you went under so fast. You really have to have the market for it. I know that I could run a decent store in/around Tokyo but the money going in would be retarded and not worth the bother. There's lots of competition around here too what with such great(albiet expensive) shops like Nat, Allman, Boy and others. I would also have to wait until I was granted the esteemed title of "permanent resident" so I could get it put in my name. I may just do distro. That I could handle. That's several years in the future though. I've had several folks back east try to talk me into starting some kind of business with them selling shit in Japan. I'll have to see. I'm too busy trying to get my music together to even think about fucking with any shit like that.
