I'm looking for a book that Doll Magazine put out a few years ago that chronicles the punk/new wave scene from '76 to '83 .

No man, I know about this because someone posted about it on some board but couldn't give me anymore infos.
By the way, speaking of zines, any cool zines worth reading from japan? I heard negazine is good and so seems to be crust war but I ain't sure.

There's one that covers lots of fastcore style grind bands that comes out pretty reguarly but I can't remember the name offhand. I'm sure there's lots of good ones, I just don't know of them.

I know pretty much all japanese websites that deals with hardcore/punk so I want that book. I saw that DOLL and BURST seem to be great.
I'm especially looking for something where I can read bands history, thoughts...

BURST is good if you don't mind pages of semi naked japanese girls/pages and pages of ads for SM clubs/a lot of pictures of japanese bikers - hip hop gangs - heavily tattoed 'yankees' - /photo spreads of vioently murdered mexicans/ and other weird stuff mixed in with some interviews .
DOLL is more 'normal' if you like...

Hell, these are the reasons I buy BURST on a regular basis! Best issue, detailed article on goregrind album covers. I've got two issues with an interview with GISM that came out last year. |

It's a long, rather boring interview. I wish I could translate it but I can't, and the people that often help me translate stuff for the zine can't even help me with small stuff right now. Sorry. Maybe sometime down the road.
