Ticket Purchace in Japan

im going to japan next month and i have no idea how to buy tickets for shows.. can someone give me some info on what i do?
i know you can buy tickets sometimes upfront at the door when they are playing.. but i dont wanna take the chance of it being sold out.
so i was wondering if someone could give me some info on how to get tickets ahead of time to a show.
ill be in Osaka.

Sometimes they sell tickets outside the club, so you can just go early. The only shows that sell out are ones with big bands from overseas that play in large clubs. I wouldn't worry about it really. I've never been turned down at a door because a show was sold out.

Besides that, you can usually purchase tickets at local record stores. Often websites of the club the show is at, and flyers for the show will list places to get the tickets at. At the least you can save a few hundred yen on the door price.
