So I'm not all to familiar with japanese music, apart from SOB and Melt Banana (and Flagitious Idiosynchrasy from this very site).
I've been told that Gauze and Multiplex are must-haves. Any album-suggestions from these bands (that are still available)?

Gauze is a great first band to hear if you're getting into Japanese punk and hardcore! They're one of the earliest bands and are still kicking it today!
If you want to hear great Gauze tracks, their second LP titled 'Equalizing Distort' is a great place to start. It has many awesome songs. Their newest and fourth LP, Kao o Aratte Denaoshite Koi, is a favourite of many, and is their quickest and hardest work yet.
Multiplex has a self titled CD I think would be good to check out, since a self titled is always a good place to start.
Another good place to start would be Death Side. They have two classic LPs and a collection of singles. They are a classic, classic older band, which never dissapoints. If you want more new stuff, check out the stuff the Death Side members went on to, Judgement, Paintbox and Forward. All very good listens.

If you find the Death Side full lengths please post about them here because I'm having a lot of trouble finding them. Format or pressing isn't an issue.

DEATHSIDE full lengths are always in used stores here for about 5000 - 8000 yen.
