i heard there is a japanese assault series. anyone heard it yet? i can't believe they have MUGA on it. could this mean that more japanese bands will be on Relapse?

Yep, but the Muga tracks are from their CD.  The other bands on the comp are pretty uninteresting to me (i.e boring grind). |

Relapse hasn't put out anything truly decent in a long, long time.

I only just heard it, I think most bands have way better stuff than on the Relapse CD, also the mastering makes everything fucking boring. I almost didn't recognize Realized from their earlier stuff...

I almost didn't recognize Realized from their earlier stuff... This is very true about Relapse(I haven't heard the CD). They tend to make all their releases to sound the fucking same. Over production, yo. It's rare I buy a relapse release, no matter how good the band. And relapse used to put out some J-bands. I've got Relapse stuff from Gore Beyond Necropsy, Disgust and Desperate Corruption. Once again, grind........ |
