Reading that the reason steve moved to Japan wasMelt Banana nad CORRUPTED i was confused.
I have only heard CHARLIE from 98 or 99 but it sounds like pop music to me.
was Melt Banana good before that or something.
I went to NAT and asked for some good music with female vocals.
the kook gave me Melt Banana and Romantic Gorilla.
they both were waste of money.

Charlie was the start of Melt-Banana's progression towards more listenable music. It's probably my least favourite of their albums but I still think it fucking rules. They were a lot noisier before Charlie.
I also muchly like Romantic Gorilla and am somewhat pissed that I had to miss them live last month due to lack of funds.

Melt Banana was never a reason for my moving to Japan. I had seen them several times in the states before coming here and enjoyed their live show but they've never been a favorite of mine. I came for the grindcore/hardcore.
And Corrupted.
Try FID for female vocals and shit. Phonophobia, Banjax... lots of good stuff. Romantic Gorilla was ok.

Mind Of Asian is pretty good too I think and so as Danmush. I don't really know which bands to add in the female category then... :/

I love the Danmush song I downloaded. Can't find the EP anywhere, though.
It does, of course, help form a good opinion that the vocalist sounds quite a lot like Yasuko of MxBx.
Mind Of Asian are excellent, aye. I'm also liking a band on This Is The Life 7 called Catty Witch. Although, mostly for novelty value. How can you not love a Japanese punk band with a song called Kiss My Black Ass!, where the vocalist barely even says what's on the lyric sheet? On which note, if I had the CD with me, I'd type the lyrics out, they're hilarious. But it's up in my room, so meh.

Just to somewhat amend my previous statement, I have to say that I'm very much in love with Yasuko from MB. She doesn't know what she's missing. Someone should tell her.

SHE'S MINE! ...if only. I can't believe I forgot to mention DxIxE and Gallhammer. Someone slap me. Oh yeah, I'll use the excuse that I wasn't suggesting bands, merely commenting on others' suggestions. Yeah, that'll do.
